أنشئت بالأمر الملكي رقم (11) وتاريخ 25/3/1381هـ ، وتلاه الأمر الملكي رقم (21) وتاريخ 16/4/138هـ ، بالمصادقة على نظام المجلس الاستشاري الأعلى للجامعة ،وفي 18/5/1386هـ صدر المرسوم الملكي رقم (م/18) بالموافقة على نظام الجامعة ثم صدر نظام آخر للجامعة وفقاً للمرسوم الملكي رقم (م/70) وتاريخ 7/7/1395هـ ، ثم صدر نظام التعليم العالي والجامعات بالمرسوم الملكي رقم (م/8) وتاريخ 4/6/1414هـ ، وقد حدد نظام الجامعة أهدافها فيما يلي :-
Islamic University
Established by the Royal decree No. (11) and the date of 25/3/1381 AH, followed
by Royal Decree No. (21) and the date of 16/4/138 e, to ratify the Advisory
Board of the University, and e 18/5/1386 issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 18 )
approval of the university system, and then issued another system of the
university according to the Royal Decree No. (M / 70) and the date of 7/7/1395
AH, followed by the higher education system and universities, the Royal Decree
No. (M / 8) and the date of 4/6/1414 H, was identified as an University with the
following objectives: --
Report eternal message of Islam to the world through advocacy, education,
university and postgraduate studies.
Planting and development of the Islamic spirit, and deepen religious practice in
the life of the individual and society based on the sincerity of worship to God
alone and stripped up to the Messenger of God.
The preparation of scientific research, translation and dissemination and
promotion in the fields of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in particular and other
sciences and branches of human knowledge needed by the Muslim community in
general.
Education of students enrolled in the science of the Muslims from various parts
and the formation of scholars specializing in Islamic and Arabic Sciences, and
scholars in religion Metzodin of science and knowledge that prepare them for the
invitation to Islam, what will solve the problems of the Muslims in the affairs
of their religion and their world along the lines of the Quran and Sunnah and
the work of Ancestors .
Compilation of Islamic heritage and its conservation and care to achieve and
published.
The establishment of scientific and cultural ties with universities and
scientific bodies and institutions in the world and documenting the service of
Islam and the achievement of its objectives.
